ABOUT THE EVENT

On March 10 2025, the Poly STEM Outreach held a STEM Event at Govans Elementary School along with Poly AFJROTC, Robotics Club, and Health for Cure Club. We worked with the 3rd grade students.
WHAT DID WE DO?
The Poly STEM Outreach Club recently visited Govans Elementary School to host an engaging STEM event for third-grade students. To make the event even more exciting and interactive, we invited three other Poly clubs to join us: the Poly AFJROTC, the Poly Robotics Club, and the Health for Cure Club.
The AFJROTC showcased their drones and gave the kids the opportunity to control them, sparking excitement and curiosity about aviation and technology. Meanwhile, the Robotics Club brought their robots and created a fun game that the students thoroughly enjoyed. The Health for Cure Club led a clay anatomy activity, where students used their creativity to build models of the human body, blending art with science in an interactive way.
At the same time, the Poly STEM Outreach Club hosted four hands-on activities: Mathopoly, Rocket Straw, Magnetic Fishing, and Conductivity experiments. These stations allowed students to explore concepts in math, physics, and engineering through playful learning. The event concluded with raffles and giveaways of STEM activity books, giving the students resources to continue exploring science at home.
Overall, the event was a great success, filled with fun, learning, and enthusiastic participation from both students and club members.
